It is 8 p.m. The Fords and the Browns are having dinner at a good London restaurant.

Richard: (to David) … I am starving actually. I was in a hurry this morning and didn’t have anything to eat.

Waiter: May I take your order, sir?

David: The ladies would like an omelette and after that a cheese salad.

Richard: I’m going to have tomato soup and beefsteak with chips. No salad for me thank you. I prefer just lettuce with vinegar.

David: the same for me, please.

Waiter: Very well, sir?

Richard: They had quite good wine when we were here last.

Helen: What do you mean – when we were here last. I wasn’t with you, darling.

Richard: True, it was my secretary and a business friend of mine.

Attendant: Here are your hats and coats, gentlemen.

Richard: Sorry, that hat isn’t mine. Is it yours, David?

David: No, Richard, it doesn’t belong to me, either.

Richard: These are our coats, but that’s my hat up there.

Attendant: Oh, I’m sorry, this one’s yours. Here you are, sir.
