ELEVEN: GETTING READY FOR A PICNIC
Richard:
Hurry up, Helen, the Fords are waiting in the car. Is this the food we are
taking with us?
Helen:
Yes, it is. Bob can carry the basket and you take the drinks, please.
Richard:
Yes, darling. Let me see what we've got in the basket; hmm, bread, butter,
cheese, ham and eggs.
Helen:
O.K., let's go now. They are still waiting.
Richard:
Bob, bring me my jacket, please.
Bob:
Which one, Dad?
Richard:
The green one.
(The
front door bell rings)
David:
Hi, everybody! Where are you all?
Richard:
We're just coming.
David:
Come on, then.
Richard:
Oh, no, look at that black cloud in the sky! We had better take an umbrella.
David:
I haven't got one.
Helen:
Never mind. I can get you one.
