Richard: Hurry up, Helen, the Fords are waiting in the car. Is this the food we are taking with us?
Helen: Yes, it is. Bob can carry the basket and you take the drinks, please.
Richard: Yes, darling. Let me see what we've got in the basket; hmm, bread, butter, cheese, ham and eggs.
Helen: O.K., let's go now. They are still waiting.
Richard: Bob, bring me my jacket, please.
Bob: Which one, Dad?
Richard: The green one.
(The front door bell rings)
David: Hi, everybody! Where are you all?
Richard: We're just coming.
David: Come on, then.
Richard: Oh, no, look at that black cloud in the sky! We had better take an umbrella.
David: I haven't got one.
Helen: Never mind. I can get you one.

PRACTICE DIALOGUE
Helen: Give me the plates, please, Bob!
Alice: Where are the knives?
Helen: Here are the knives and forks.
Alice: David can cut the bread; five him that big knife.
David: Helen's making sandwiches. Let's help her.
Bob: Can i take the ones from the yellow bag!

Helen: Well, Alice, I'm making ham sandwiches, you can make the cheese sandwiches. But, please, don't put too much butter on the bread!
